Shibi IAS Academy was started on 1.1.1997 in Coimbatore. For the past 10 years it nurtures people, in the field of competitive exams. By the abled leadership of its Director Dr. Aranga Gopal thousands of people got trained in competitive exams conducted for the selection of Probationary Officers, Clerks in the banking sector, Development Officers, Asst. Administrative officers in Govt. organizations like Life Insurance Corporation, Asst. Station Masters, Commercial Clerks, Train Ticket Examiners, Ticket Collectors, Junior Engineers etc., in Railway Recruitment Board, Telephone Technical Assistants, Junior Telecom Officers in Telecommunications Department, Lower Division Clerks, Upper Division Clerks, Combined Services Exams ( Prelims & Main) in Staff Selection Commission, Group I Officers, Group II Officers, Assistants (Group II), Junior Assistants (Gr IV), Village Administrative Officers, Civil Engineers (PWD & Highways), Motor Vehicle Inspectors - Gr.II, in Tamilnadu Public Service Commission Examinations, Under Graduate Assistants and Post Graduate Assistants in Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) Exam.
